Our Process
Whether we’re fully remodeling a house or building a pergola, the process we follow is the same. Through our 4 phases — Assess, Envision, Execute and Deliver — we work carefully and collaboratively to deliver your dream space.
Phase 1: Assess
In our first phase, we provide a free in-home consult in which we evaluate your space, hear what you’d like to accomplish, and gather what we need to prepare a project bid. During this phase we will also discuss your ideal timing and budget, in addition to any tactical considerations around local zoning, structural limitations, and more.
Phase 2: Envision
Our second phase is designed to map out your dream space at a workable price point. During this phase, we create a conceptual design for your project in addition to a project estimate. With our estimate, we provide a range of price options based on extent of work undertaken, quality of fixtures, etc. Our goal for this phase is to align on a scope of work that meets your needs while not exceeding your desired budget. We work collaboratively during Phase Two to identify project efficiencies and proactively highlight cost savings. Once we’ve arrived at a mutually agreeable scope, we’ll sign the contract, collect the materials deposit, and get to work!
Phase 3: Execute
Our third phase is divided into two steps: Planning and Construction.
During the Planning step, we work thoughtfully and efficiently to secure building materials, obtain necessary permits, and develop strategies to work through any potential challenges identified during our assessment.
Through careful and strategic planning, we ensure that Construction, our next step, is as efficient and unobtrusive as possible. Throughout our third phase, Gavin Witten will be your Project Lead, providing ongoing project updates and working through any scope changes or challenges. Additionally, Gavin will facilitate in-person project status meetings with you on a consistent basis throughout construction. When Gavin cannot be physically present on the job site, he will always be highly accessible via text, phone, and email.
Phase 4: Deliver
Our work ends when we deliver your dream space — every time. Your enthusiastic seal of approval is our final phase!
Our commitment to complete customer satisfaction informs every phase of our work. In Phase 1, we prepare a scope that checks your boxes without breaking the bank. In Phase 2, we work collaboratively to envision your dream within the footprint of your existing space. Throughout Phase 3, we work proactively to get ahead of challenges, surmount unexpected roadblocks, and make sure nothing comes as a surprise.
Finally, in Phase 4, we will perform a number of comprehensive walkthroughs to ensure the space you dreamed of on day 1 is the one you’ll enjoy for decades to come.
