Witten Contracting was founded in 2021 to create a different kind of general contracting experience — one defined by integrity, reliability, and relentless attention to detail.
Gavin Witten grew up working with contractors and tradespeople. As he learned the trade, he also observed that the dynamic between contractors and clients was often somewhat adversarial — characterized by miscommunication and mistrust. While Gavin recognized that the job of a contractor is frequently fraught with unexpected roadblocks, unavoidable delays and unforeseen scope changes, he felt there was a better way to surmount these challenges without passing anxiety and frustration through to the customer. Gavin founded Witten Contracting to deliver a higher standard of general contracting.
In 2021, Witten Contracting launched with two bathroom remodels in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Since then, the Witten team has built an expansive and wide-ranging portfolio of work across bathroom & kitchen remodels, outdoor living spaces, full home renovations, and more! While Witten Contracting’s roots are in Ypsilanti, the team now serves Washtenaw County and beyond. With all jobs, the goal of the Witten team is simple: Do right by the client — every single time. That begins with establishing a clear project vision, continues with proactive work & communication throughout the project, and concludes with the client’s enthusiastic seal of approval.
